Dirt & Vert sets summer hours
Emerald Coast Dirt & Vert has new summer hours through September.
The BMX and skatepark will be open from 4-10 p.m. daily with a 9-11 a.m. breakfast session on Saturday.
Helmets are required, and children 9 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
The park is located at 126 Jet Drive. For more information on cost, call 796-2326.

City celebrates Kids' Day
The City's Parks and Recreation Department will host its annual Kids' Day from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday at the Fort Walton Landing.
Fun includes Seacrest Wolf Preserve, Magician Beau Broomall, A.C. Moore, Kitty Hawk Kites and the FWB Police Department's Dunk-a-Cop. Call 833-9576.
Hospice to host Camp Brave Heart
NICEVILLE - Emerald Coast Hospice will offering Camp Brave Heart this summer for children ages 7 to 14.
The camp, scheduled for July 25-28, is designed for children who have lost loved ones. Camp Brave Heart is run by clinical experts who understand the healing process and who genuinely care about children who are left behind.
In addition to therapeutic groups and activities, the children will participate in arts and crafts, boating, tubing, swimming, canoeing, field games and more.
The camp will be held at Camp Timpoochee in Niceville. Transportation to the camp will be provided. For details and an application, call Frank Dole, chaplain at 689-0300.

OWC to offer career and job fair
CRESTVIEW - The Career Resource Center at Okaloosa-Walton College will host a North Okaloosa County Career & Job Fair from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. June 11 at the Crestview Community Center.
The event is free and open to all area job seekers including students, graduates, military and the general public.  The focus will be on full-time, part-time, or summer employment and internship opportunities in business, health care, public safety, banking, contracting, management, hospitality, and other fields.
Area businesses that want to participate can contact the Career Resource Center at 729-5227. The deadline is May 30.
